***Kit Kat Caps: (For Kit Kat Keyboards in 2nd year) I don't know if anyone else is tired of chocolaty fingerprints on their keyboards... Is it just me? These are made of hard epoxy resin, and will last forever. Don't eat them. :) They are easy to pass around the class for them to see where they fit on the black notes.
I recommend purchasing the following groups:
- set of 3 (so you can show the sets of 2 and 3)
- set of 5 (so you can put all black notes together at the same time)
- set of 8 (so each student can try one on their own keyboard)
- 2 sets of 8 if you also want one for each parent and student pair
***Peanut Butter Cup Magnet: 2" peanut butter cup made with tinted resin, and then hand-painted to look just like the real deal. The magnet is embedded into the resin so it will never fall off. These magnets are specifically made to match the size of the note magnets used in Let's Play Music. We introduce the "root of the chord" during Orange Roots (2nd semester of 3rd year). We introduce the "special note" by replacing it with a peanut butter cup (much to the delight of your students). And then at the end of class, they all get their own Reese's PB cup. For those studios who have no sugar policies or allergy concerns, or parents who prefer healthy snacks, try:
***Carrot Slice Magnet: 2" carrot slice magnet made of painted resin or 3D printed material. It comes with a strong magnet embedded into the shape of the circle, making it very unlikely to fall off or be pried out by little fingers. This visual is a catchy way to remember the "root", and then you can give the semester gift of a bag of carrots (moms love this).
***LPM Oreo: For "Whole Stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?", try out this Ned-ified Oreo! Made with painted resin or 3D printed material, this will leave no crumbs, and the kids will love seeing their beloved Ned on a cookie!
